Wood Storks and the evolution of man….
April 15, 2009 – 9:06 amThey’re Back. Wood storks have returned to the golf course along Riverland Drive on James Island. Like clockwork, they show up every April. This year, they’re two weeks late, probably due to our weird Spring weather. Everytime I see these birds, I think of Terradactyls and other ancient things. Just think, these creatures were around before humans had language. And they’ve changed very little since then.
Which got me thinking, how much have we as humans really evolved in that time? We grew a little taller, a lot wider, we’ve built bigger things and learned to bend the world to our desires, but have we really evolved?
I know my answer. I’m eager to hear yours.

I have asked myself this very question many times. I am afraid of the answer. When we can find peace in our individual worlds hopefully it will radiate into a more peaceful world and actually evolve into less hate and violence with more acceptance and tolerence.
