Passion Flower and Chrysalis – The Law of Attraction

Passion flower reaching for chrysalis

My passion flower vine has been covered in butterfly chrysalids for several weeks.  Every morning I go out to check for a hatching.  This morning I found the first empty shell, indicating that hatchings will begin on the others any day now. A few days ago I noticed that another caterpillar attached itself right above the first one, almost like he knew it would be safe to plant himself there. The very next day, the passion flower bloomed below him.  The following day, today, it reached up and grabbed hold of the stem pulling the chrysalis beside it.   Look at the photo and tell me that life doesn’t attract life, that beauty doesn’t attract beauty.

Forgive my grammar, but it got me thinking about what we attach ourselves to and who we surround ourselves with.  There’s a law of attraction that states that what we put out we get in return.

I know for me, the reason I socialize with and do business with “honest, ethical, earth-friendly” people is because they know they can trust me to help them make the decisions that are best suited to their interests.  How? Because I share their interests.

Today’s photo was a gentle reminder of the law of attraction.
